Last weekend, BOS112 held a successful exercise at the Aldenhoven Testing Centre together with the Alsdorf fire and rescue services.
BOS is the abbreviation for authorities and organisations entrusted with security tasks. Experienced firefighters and paramedics work here with their expertise and experience in all fire protection and safety issues.
Watch department B of the Alsdorf fire service as well as the training department focussed on technical and medical rescue following road accidents:
- A road traffic accident involving two cars and three patients was simulated. The rescue teams had to rescue the patients, some of whom were trapped or trapped, quickly and in a patient-orientated manner.
- Another road accident on the 44 motorway with three vehicles and a total of six patients presented the next challenge.
The realistic scenarios enabled the emergency services to practise the procedures from raising the alarm to the rescue. The various scenarios were run through together and important procedures on our large intersection, in the ditch next to the braking test track and on our oval circuit were practised for emergencies – for everyone's safety!
