At our Aldenhoven Testing Center, we can simulate almost all situations from real traffic that are necessary for the research, development and validation of automotive systems and functions.

This also helps our customers: Whether autonomous driving or platooning, i.e., a system in which several vehicles can drive safely one behind the other at a very close distance with the help of a technical control system, we provide the prerequisites.

This was recently demonstrated by our customer Vodafone during tests in Aldenhoven:

  1. in Cooperative Platooning, the vehicles drove in a platoon-like formation. Platooning brings enormous efficiency to traffic and reduces energy consumption when driving.
  2. With Remote Vehicle Control, a single operator can connect to one or more vehicles simultaneously and control them remotely. Especially for autonomous driving, such remote control by an operations center will be an important component.

We are pleased to announce that two situations of the Connected Mobility teams led by Guido Gehlen and Arturo A. González Rodríguez have been tested with us.

Vodafone's 5G network on our test site makes it possible that you can also research the mobility of the future with us. Feel free to contact us and come to our test site as the next test customer. Our team is looking forward to your next booking!
