This week, you could already experience the future of mobility in the air with us. RWTH Aachen University and its partners are launching a unique nationwide competence and test center for networked and automated vertical mobility and invited guests to a symbolic lift-off at our Aldenhoven Testing Center site. Ina Brandes, Minister of Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Professor Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, together with Professor Ulrich Rüdiger, Rector of RWTH, launched the first unmanned flight for this purpose.
There is a lot going on again today at our test site in Aldenhoven: To train even more drivers on the important topic of safety, the Aldenhoven Testing Center is offering a workshop on the "Failure System Car" for applicators, test and safety drivers. For this purpose, the company Driving Concept provides a vehicle. In the joint workshop, speakers Armin Eckl, Managing Director of Driving Concept, Dennis Eckl, Head of Internal Driver Training, and Ralf Steeb, Technical Development at Schaeffler-Paravan, will train participants in the safe environment of the test center.
